Queste opere, realizzate con nastro adesivo e sali d’argento, costituiscono una sorta di selfie materiale, riproducendo in scala 1 a 1 piani fotografici irriconoscibili, dal primo piano, alla mezza figura, fino alle figure intere. Tuttavia, in esse non riusciamo a rintracciare la forma di un corpo: la superficie corporea è prima frantumata e poi ri-assemblata in mosaici composti da tracce di pelle, dove ogni tessera rappresenta un piccolo sviluppo fotografico derivante dalla mappatura del corpo ottenuta tramite il contatto tra epidermide e nastro adesivo. I sali minerali catturati dal nastro adesivo, reagendo con il nitrato d’argento, danno vita a sviluppi fotografici. La pelle, che separa e al contempo connette al mondo esterno, diventa uno strumento per misurare e registrare la realtà. Il corpo sembra quasi scomparire, scomposto in frammenti, eppure emergono elementi di una figura umana (come orecchi, bocca, palpebre), anche se la somiglianza non è mai riconoscibile nella sua soggettività. Da sempre è la geometria a narrare il “creato” qualora non si possa o voglia ricorrere a immagini figurative, in questi mosaici le ri-composizioni  sono una forma di rielaborazione laica della geometria sacra in cui il corpo diventa “universale” non (più) riconoscibile e rappresentato, ma presentato nella sua matericità.

These works, made with adhesive tape and silver nitrate, are a material selfie, reproducing unrecognizable photographic planes on a 1:1 scale, from the the close-up, to the half-length, up to the full-length figures. However, we can’t trace the shape of a body in them: the body surface is first shattered and then reassembled in mosaics composed of traces of skin, where each tile represents a small photographic development resulting from the mapping of the body obtained through contact between the epidermis and adhesive tape. The mineral salts captured by the adhesive tape, reacting with the silver nitrate, give life to photographic developments. The skin, which separates and at the same time connects to the outside world, becomes a tool for measuring and recording reality. The body seems to almost disappear, broken down into fragments, yet elements of a human figure emerge (such as ears, mouth, eyelids), even if the resemblance is never recognizable in its subjectivity. Geometry has always narrated the “creation” when is not possible use figurative images. In these mosaics, the re-compositions are a form of laic re-elaboration of sacred geometry in which the body becomes “universal”, no longer recognisable and represented, but presented in its materiality.
