Opere ideate nel  mese di marzo 2024 ad Armento (Pt) durante la residenza d’artista intitolata Il ramo d’oro , dal saggio di James George Frazer. Due opere appartengono alla collezione permanente di Ori e orazioni, la galleria civica di Armento.

“Elementi di un polittico in cui il consueto mosaico di tracce della pelle dell’artista si staglia su tessere campite eccezionalmente d’oro zecchino: un rimando a quella vertigine semantica tipica dell’iconografia bizantina in cui alla riconoscibilità di un rapporto frontale con il mondo si preferisce il sabotaggio retorico di un materiale che significa solo “luce”, che si rifiuta categoricamente di rappresentare alcunché, materializzandosi come buco nell’aspettativa di reciprocità dell’immagine. “ (Donato Faruolo)

Works created in March 2024 in Armento (Pt) during the artist residency entitled The Golden Bough, from the essay by James George Frazer. Two works belong to the permanent collection of Ori e orazioni, the civic gallery of Armento.

“Elements of a polyptych in which the usual mosaic of traces of the artist’s skin stands out on tiles filled exceptionally with pure gold: a reference to that semantic vertigo typical of Byzantine iconography in which the rhetorical sabotage of a material that means only “light” is preferred to the recognizability of a frontal relationship with the world, which categorically refuses to represent anything, materializing as a hole in the image’s expectation of reciprocity.” (Donato Faruolo)
