Uneasy è un progetto composto da cinque scatti fotografici che a prima vista appaiono come dei monocromi neri: il nero è in realtà̀ una velatura di pigmento termocromico che cela le immagini sottostanti e si dissolve al tocco delle mani calde dello spettatore, ad una temperatura di circa 27°C. Il pigmento nasconde e rivela scatti di porzioni di corpi femminili segnati da cicatrici, dal tempo o altri tipi di problematiche che la pelle documenta come una sorta di mappatura di storie sedimentate. Le donne che si sono prestate al progetto non sono delle sconosciute, appartengono ad un passato condiviso, il nero custodisce discretamente le loro immagini ed è allo stesso tempo metafora della necessità di fer- marsi e relazionarsi empaticamente per andare oltre la superficie e vedere.

Uneasy is made up of five photographic shots that at first sight they seem to be black monochromatic: black is a coat of thermochromic pigment that hides the images below and it fades away to the touch of viewers warm hands, at a temperature of about 27°C. The pigment hides and reveals shots of female body parts marked by scars, by time or by other types of problems that the skin documents, as a sort of mapping of some sedimented stories. The women who lent theme- selves to this art project aren’t strangers: they belong to a shared past. Black discreetly locks after their images, at the same time it’s a metaphor of the need to pause and to relate empathically in order to go beyond the surface and see.
